Nadi Astrology (Olaichuvadi jothidam) is an ancient system of Indian astrology that originated in Tamil Nadu, India. It is based on the traditional belief that enlightened sages, known as rishis—particularly Sage Agastya—foresaw the lives of countless individuals through deep meditation and divine insight. These visions were then inscribed on sacred palm-leaf manuscripts thousands of years ago and carefully preserved for future generations.

According to this tradition, each palm leaf contains details about a person’s past, present, and possible future. During a Nadi reading, a seeker’s thumb impression is used to locate the corresponding palm leaf, which is then interpreted by a trained Nadi astrologer.
